After completing a degree in French and German Interpreting and Translating Liz worked in international banking for 15 years and it was whilst working in the bank’s Human Resources Department that she developed a strong interest in people, development and training.
After a few years at home with her young family, Liz returned to work in education as a Teaching Assistant, progressing on to become an SEN Manager in a Buckinghamshire grammar school. She spent 10 years working directly with young people, managing and developing a team of teaching assistants and liaising with teaching staff, parents and external agencies. She worked passionately to create an autism friendly and enabling environment within the school.
More recently Liz has worked with Milton Keynes Local Authority as an SEN Officer writing Education Health Care Plans, working closely with parents, schools and SEN professionals to develop suitable outcomes and provision for children and young people.
Liz has a Certificate in Understanding Autism and also holds the NAS qualification to support adults on the spectrum
